چکیده
An assessment of the meandering stream type using its classification system to geomorphology characteristics combined with GIS-based analysis is presented in this paper. It describes consisting 8 parameters that differ zone sediment position, width, sinuosity, amplitude, wavelength, bend sharpness, meander pattern, and slope. The selected case study paper Barito Stream, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Based on results, variability varied all except sharpness transport longest classified as a very wide river moderate sinuosity high amplitude (< 1500). also categorized wavelength sharp relatively shallow This approach simple, appropriate, easy-to-use practice examining since there no data or lack supporting field data. implementation method suitable for restoration projects, fish habitat enhancement, water resource management. Further research possible geomorphic responses channel natural anthropogenic disturbances including channel-bed degradation, aggradation, widening, straightening.

متن کاملGIS-based influence analysis of geomorphological properties on pollutant wash-off in agricultural area.
This study improves the estimation of the self-purification coefficient for runoff analysis of pollution load using geomorphological factors. Formerly, the assimilative capacity, K, was estimated using a single geomorphological factor, Horton's form ratio, St. Here, K was divided into two factors, namely, a watershed self-purification coefficient (K) and a watershed form ratio (S(f)). The water...

The ARC/INFO 6.1 Grid system was applied in the 170 km large Henley Dam and the 19.4 km large Cedara basins, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, to determine hydrological and geomorphological parameters required to simulate water quantity and water. A sensitivity analysis was carried out to evaluate the effects of the grid mesh size on basin slope by producing a number of grids with grid mesh sizes ra...

This paper describes estimation of stream channel geometry with multiple regression analysis of GISderived watershed characteristics including drainage area, catchment-averaged precipitation, mean watershed slope, elevation, forest cover, percent area with slopes greater than 30 percent, and percent area with north-facing slopes greater than 30 percent. Results from this multivariate predictor ...
